Download libcrypto.so.1.1 and libssl.so.1.1 for Arch Linux with pacman
I used yumdownloader to create a local copy of the openssl rpm. Then I used rpmrebuild with the -e -p PACKAGE flags to add the missing Provides and create a new rpm. Then installed that resultant artifact. Incrementing the Release also helped.

to check if libraries are missing. Instead of moving the library needed after download from someplace like browsing to _64/ and trying to manually install the missing library, unpack the TAR files in a new local directory and use
I must have stated that I use localinstall with yum. So we download the rpm and dependencies and copy them to the server and install locally using yum localinstall . I however, still get the same error. I'm not a system admin but more so an application developer who is trying to get his needed softwares (mysql in this case) installed and working on the system. Meanwhile, i continue to troubleshoot the error.
Relatively new (few weeks) to Linux. OpenSuse 13.2 KDE (default install) on Dell 530 DuCore. U to now install ahve gone OK from KDE or Zyyper CLI when not found on searching KDE. I am trying to install Splashtop and have downloaded the.rpm which seems recent for an OpenSuse repository (not in my normal list) at :/sbrabec/openSUSE_Factory/i586/I get this Zypper error
Thanks. I had tried the 64 bit after posting and had same result. I did take your advice and installed the link to repository you suggested, then found Splashtop in Yast2 software manager and choose to install from within Yast2 but had the same problem - the dependency is missing and the installer does not try to download it. Gives following error:
